Black Forest Grotto originated from Phil Thompson playing with discarded wood. Recycling "old throwaway rubbish" to make characters & objects...

After creating his first range of simple, small figures, Phil thought that they needed a "collective home", a place where the creations could hang out, interact, play... So the Black Forest Grotto was imagined as a home for them all.

Phil creted a range of limited edition printed mini cards. Below is a selection of these cards, with images taken from local misty landscapes, graveyards, objects & places.

Sound

Phil is also creating soundscapes & "music" as part of the Black Forest Grotto world. Early in development (late 2015), Phil will be working on creating more soundscapes & hosting them on his soundcloud page.
